He was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Lewistown, the son of Wayne and Ola Grace Keime Echerd. He married Alice Scott on June 24, 1962, in Lewistown. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Becky (and Mike) Schulte of St. Louis, Mo.
He worked at Norris Farms and also at Dana Victor in Havana. He later worked for Liverpool Township as road commissioner, and he retired from there.
He was a member of International Order of Odd Fellows Fulton 51 and was past Noble Grand.
Cremation will be accorded. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Reverend Deryk Sonaram officiating. Inurnment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home.
