She was born Nov. 24, 1923, the daughter of Irvin and Nelda Traeger Huston. She married Donald Egbert on Aug. 4, 1945, in Beardstown. He preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 2003.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, Dorus Huston.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna (and Jerry) Bartlett of rural Frederick and Marcia (and Donnie) Gragg of Rushville; four brothers, Harold (and Pearl) Huston of Girard, Gerald (and Marilyn) Huston of Roseville, Paul (and Bev) Huston of Sun City, Ariz., and Donald (and Irene) Huston of Mount Sterling; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She helped her husband farm and taught at Hatfield School in rural Schuyler County from 1945-46. She worked several years at Schuyler-Brown FS until 1969.
She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Beardstown.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Pastor David Natzke officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery.
