She was born Aug. 14, 1912, in Jerseyville, a daughter of Ernest W. and Cora M. Gibson Little. She married Arthur E. Eifert on April 7, 1930, in Virginia. He died April 5, 1990.
She also was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Cathy Schasker and Julie Frank; three grandsons, Glen Kennedy, Michael Kennedy and Mark Nelson; one great-grandchild, Mark Light; two brothers, Harry and Ernest D. Little; and two sisters, Gladys Little and Irene Miller.
Surviving are three daughters, Catherine (and Marvin Jr.) Downs of Rockford, Shirley (and Gene) Kennedy of Elmwood and Theresa (and Richard) Pomering of Rockford; one son, Raymond (and Joann) Eifert of Rushville; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Catherine Hoffman of Yorktown, Va.
She worked in the kitchen of Bartlow Brothers in Rushville for 15 years, retiring in 1966. She provided care to Hildreth Barnes for many years.
She was a member of Rushville Free Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home in Rushville with David Haney officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
