Larry Eddington Sr.Larry Paul Eddington Sr., 59, of Huntsville died at 7:26 a.m. April 6, 2007, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born July 4, 1947, in Palo Alto, Calif. He married Betty Mae Hefley on May 14, 1969, in Beardstown. She died April 22, 1980.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Paul Jr. of Guymon, Okla., and Chris of Huntsville; two daughters, Vickie Gerber of Billings, Mont., and Kimberly Sue Eddington of Beardstown; two sisters, Virginia Dunbar of Ridge, Md., and Linda Porter of Hampton Va.; and 14 grandchildren.

He graduated from Rushville High School in 1966.

He was in the U.S. Army from Nov. 10, 1966, to Nov. 1, 1968, serving in Vietnam.

He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in November 2002 due to ill health.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Browning Cemetery with military services conducted by the U.S. Army Honor Guard and Schuyler American Legion Post #4. Inurnment will follow. There will be no visitation. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
