NELDA LEE (CRABTREE) ELLSWORTH

Nelda Ellsworth

Nelda Lee Ellsworth, 78, formerly of rural Lewistown, died at 2:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, 1998, at Clayberg Fulton County Nursing Center in Cuba.

She was born July 19, 1920, in Waterford Township, Fulton County, a daughter of Earl L. and Clella R. Frazier Crabtree. She married Meredith L. “Mig” Ellsworth on Feb. 10, 1940, in Palmyra, Mo. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, David of Seattle; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Meredith Moe” Ellsworth, one brother and two sisters.

She assisted her husband during the time he served as Fulton County Sheriff. She was a member of the Fulton County League of Democratic Women. She attended St. Peters Episcopal Church in Canton and also St. James Episcopal Church in Lewistown.

Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Henry Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. John Combs officiating. Burial was in Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown.

Memorials may be made to Apple Cemetery or the Lewistown High School Alumni Association.
