Mrs. Goldie Etter Of Bushnell Dies

Mrs. Goldie M. Etter, 89, of Everly House, Macomb, formerly of Bushnell, died at 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 1980, in Americana Nursing Center, Macomb.

Born April 16, 1890, in Fulton County, a daughter of Warren and Mary Catherine Folsom Crosier, she married Frank Combs in Prairie City Dec. 28, 1910. He died Oct. 28, 1931. She married John Etter at Pekin March 5, 1936, and he died Dec. 30, 1962.

She lived in Prairie City most of her life, moving to Bushnell in 1947 and to Macomb in 1972. She taught Sunday school in Prairie City and Bushnell Methodist Churches.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bernita Pearson of Colona and Mrs. Catherine Haffner of Walnut Grove; one son, Ray Etter of Bushnell; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Elva Runkle of Bushnell and Mrs. Melba Hart of Rushville; one stepson, Clair Etter of Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Adelaide Gangloff of Peoria, and Mrs. Margaret Kugler of Punta Gorda, Fla.

Two brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one great-grandson preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Bushnell United Methodist Church with Rev. Ralph Dude officiating. Burial will be in Prairie City Cemetery.
