William Evans, Sr. Dies In CantonWilliam Evans, Sr. Dies In CantonWilliam Evans, Sr. 69, of Canton died Wednesday, July 15, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
Mr. Evans was born Nov. 30, 1900 in Chicago to William and Anna (Rails) Evans.
October 28, 1924, he married Pearl E. Danner in Virginia. She survives, as do sons William Evans, Jr., of Canton and James E. Evans, who is with the U. S. Air Force at Kadena, Okinawa; a daughter, Mrs. Virgil Horr of Canton, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Evans was a veteran of World War I.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Oaks Memorial Chapel in Canton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans is the daughter of Mrs. Belle Danner of Astoria and the late Ike Danner.
