Barbara Lee “Barb” Danner, 102, died Dec. 28, 2024, at Red Oak Estates in Canton.
She was born April 10, 1922, in Canton, a daughter of Edward Frank and Eunice A. Conrad DeLong. She married Wallace M. Danner on April 10, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2018.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, C. Arlene (and Paul) Spencer and Marilyn (and Robert) Whitaker; and one brother, Donald (and Phyllis) DeLong.
Surviving are one son, Edward Ray (and Wilma) Danner; one grandchild, Adriana Rae (and Anthony) Stewart; several nieces and nephews; and two great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Canton High School in 1940.
She worked during high school and after. She was employed in a grocery store, a bakery, restaurant and a catalog store. As World War II was ending, she worked at Montgomery Wards.
She was a proud member of the Fulton County Democrat Women’s Club.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Sedgwick Funeral Homes and Crematory in Canton. Visitation will be held the same day from 10–11 a.m. with Rev. Monroe Bailey officiating. Burial will follow service at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Food Pantry or Fulton County Humane Society.
