Jerry Dotzert

Jerry Dwane Dotzert, 77, of Rushville died at 11:18 p.m. July 6, 2020, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 29, 1942, in Beardstown, a son of Clarence E. and Mary E. Virgin Dotzert. He married Patsy J. Simpson on April 4, 1970, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are two brothers, Michael V. (and Joyce) Dotzert and David C. (and Sue) Dotzert, both of Beardstown; eight nephews; three nieces; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Douglas Dotzert.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He worked at Caterpillar Tractor in Peoria for 30 years. He delivered campers across the U.S. from the factory to various dealers.

Cremation will be accorded and no services will be held. Worthington Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Culbertson Hospital Foundation or Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
