Dennis DyeDennis R. Dye, 74, of Reedsburg, Wis., formerly of Havana, died March 18, 2020.

He was born March 5, 1946, in Popular City, a son of “Dutch” and Deloris Holmes Dye. He married Cheryl Scrogum on June 27, 1970. She survives.

Also surviving are two children, Travis (and Heather) Dye of Mauston, Wis., and Denise (and P.J.) Daniels of Reedsburg; two sisters, Marla (and Vernon) Lascelles of Havana and Peggy (and Kenny) Lascelles of Ipava; one brother, Rick Dye of Havana; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Tony.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Navy.

He worked in numerous foundries for 40 years and later for the Reedsburg School District in the building and grounds department as an evening supervisor.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. The Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Reedsburg Food Pantry.
