She was born Nov. 8, 1959, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Lois Carney Baiss. She married Scott Danner on April 11, 1980. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jason (and Jacquelyn) Danner; two daughters, Nicole (and Sean) Ekiss of Mount Zion and Jessica Danner of Decatur; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and one granddaughter, Aubree.
She was dedicated to the lives of the students at both St. Teresa and Decatur Public Schools.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Inn or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
