He was born April 27, 1956, in Beardstown, the son of Dale and Diane Poppenhager Dean. He married Jody Hamblin on Aug. 31, 1991, in Astoria. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Diane Dean of Astoria; two sons, Kevin (and Devin) Dean of Rushville and Kyle (and Lindsey) Dean of Peoria; three daughters, Kara Dean of Vermont, Katy Dean of Springfield and Katie Ratcliff of Astoria; two sisters, Pam (and Michael) France of Table Grove and Denise Dean of Lake Charles, Texas; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale; and one sister, Brenda Reynolds.
He worked for Iron Workers Local 112 of Peoria.
He was a member of Iron Workers Local 112 of Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 24, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Hollis Shafer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Iron Worker’s Local 112 Apprentice Fund or the Holy Pursuit’s Dream Foundation.
