Charles Donaldson

Charles C. Donaldson, 92, of Macomb, formerly of rural Cuba, died at 7:17 p.m. Aug. 9, 2006, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

He was born April 6, 1914, in Donnelson, a son of Ora and Eva Supinger Donaldson. He married Bernice Peacock on May 18, 1936, in Peoria. She died Aug. 5, 1999.

He also was preceded in death by one son, Curtis; four brothers; one sister; and three grandchildren.

Surviving are two daughters, Kay (and Bernie) McCance of rural Smithfield and Barbara (and Steve) Littell of Pottsville, Pa.; one brother, Earl of Florida; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He retired in 1978 from the Caterpillar Inc. Mossville plant after 38 years of employment. He had lived in the Chillicothe area, and later moved to the Cuba area and Mesa, Ariz., after retiring.

He attended Brock United Methodist Church in Smithfield.

Services were held Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Al Somers officiating. Burial was in Bushnell Cemetery.
