Orville DammanOrville Damman, 74, of Rushville died at 8:59 a.m. July 13, 2006, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Dec. 17, 1931, in Dover Township, Fulton County, Ohio, a son of Alvin C. and Lela C. Meister Damman. He married Patsy Browning on June 18, 1961, at First Christian Church in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Kimberly (and Troy) Lane of Marion; one sister, Thelma Onweller of Bryan, Ohio; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin; and one sister, Velma Onweller.

He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member and deacon of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Rushville.

He was a flight dispatcher for United Airlines for 15 years, worked for Schuyler Grain Co. for 15 years and was most recently employed at M&M Vending.

Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. E. Ambrose Stump officiating. Burial was in Hersman Cemetery south of Mount Sterling. Military rites were accorded by Schuyler American Legion Post #4.
