Louise Devitt

Louise S. Devitt, 85, of Rushville died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005, at the Culbertson Long Term Care facility in Rushville.

She was born Monday, Oct. 25, 1920, in Jamestown, Pa., a daughter of James Garrison and Beryl Margaret Pitzer Stewart. She married William E. Devitt on Sept. 26, 1942, in Wooster, Ohio. He died Feb. 21, 1994.

Surviving are two sons, Blake (and Janice) of Sanibel, Fla., James (and Tanya) of Rushville; two daughters, Nancy (and Steve) Bolander of Estero, Fla., and Tricia (and Brian) Anderson of Rushville; one sister, Marjorie (and Clark) Moreland of Rushville; and eight grandchildren.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Rushville.

She also was a member of PEO Sisterhood Chapter AL, Pandora's Playhouse, Schuyler Arts Council, Wednesday Ladies Sewing Circle and a founding member of Schuyler Singers.

Services will be today at 11 a.m. at her church with David Haney officiating. Burial will be at Rushville City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to her church or to the Culbertson Long Term Care facility.
