Lorraine Sue Drake-Munson, 80, of Peoria died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Sharon Elms Health Care Center.
She was born March 7, 1925, in Astoria, a daughter of Dr. B.G. Sr. and Alta Wardell Drake. She married Garold L. Munson on Oct. 17, 1947, in Denver. He died March 23, 1970, in Iowa City, Iowa.
Surviving are two sons, Barry Munson of Peoria and Jamie (and Evelyn) Munson of Wilsonville, Ore.; one daughter, Sue Ann (and Terry) Weinacht of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; one brother, Rev. B.G. Jr. (and Linda) Drake of Peoria; two sisters, Mary Elaine Waddell of Monrovia, Calif., and Margie Ann Rodebaugh of Pasedena, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
She was a member of Trinity Temple Church in Peoria, which was established by her father in 1929. There she was the organist, song director and a Sunday school teacher for many years.
Services were held Monday at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with her brother, Rev. B.G. Drake Jr., officiating. Wilton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to a fund established for her grandchildren at any CEFCU bank.
