Charles R. Danner, 68, of DuQuoin died Feb. 19, 2004, at the Carbondale Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born Jan. 14, 1936, in Astoria, a son of Randall C. and Helen Merrill Danner. He married Connie R. Richardson on July 13, 1964, in Bath. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Jill Danner of Bath; two grandchldren; two brothers, Stanley Danner, and Steve (and Janine) Danner of Astoria; two sisters, Pat (and Bill) Wilson of Galesburg, and Sharon McCollum of Springfield.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Danner.
He worked as a welder for the Freeman United Coal Co. in DuQuoin before retiring.
He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, the American Legion and the NRA.
There were no services. Cremation was accorded. Pyatt-Harrawood & Epplin Funeral Home in DuQuoin was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the National Kidney Foundation or the American Legion.
