Sylber Diehl

Sylber L. Diehl, 78, of Macomb, formerly of Adair, died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at McDonough District Hospital.

He was born Aug. 6, 1925, in Beverly, a son of Clarence F. and Nellie J. Allen Diehl.

Surviving are three sisters, Bonita Van Order of Sweet Home, Ore., Leona Buck of Knoxville and Frances McCall of Galesburg; and his caretaker, Virginia Worrell of Macomb.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

He had worked for many farmers in the Bushnell, Prairie City and Adair areas and for Adair Lumber Yard. He also did lawn mowing for various businesses and private homes.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at Kingston Cemetery in Kingston. Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to The Elms or to the Red Cross transportation system.
