Jessie H. DeMott, 94, formerly of Lewistown, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at Heartland Health Care Center in Canton.
She was born Nov. 27, 1907, in Abingdon, a daughter of John L. and Mary Poole McCullough. She married Charles L. DeMott on June 30, 1930, in Abingdon. He died Oct. 23, 1974.
She also was preceded in death by three sons, one great-grandchild, four brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are three sons, Donald (and Neva) of Coos Bay, Ore., John of Peoria and Larry (and Carole) of Lewistown; two daughters, JoAnn Sherwood and Jeanne (and Dick) Seward, both of Lewistown; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was of the Protestant faith.
Services were held Tuesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Rev. Kirk Clayton officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery.
