Gerald Danner, 72, of Milan died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Trinity West-Rock Island.
He was born Aug. 20, 1929, in Astoria Township, a son of Hugh and Florence Wisecup Danner. He married JoAnn Stewart on June 12, 1954, in Monmouth. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Danna Jo Danner; a granddaughter, Adrianna Danner, both of Milan; a sister, Lueann Schisler of Macon, Mo.; and two brothers, William of Astoria, and Wayne of Vieques, Puerto Rico.
He was a mechanic for General Lease Ways in Davenport, Iowa, for 43 years, retiring in 1987.
He is a former member of the East Moline Lions Club.
He enjoyed traveling, golfing and cooking.
Family funeral services were held in Milan. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Blackhawk Fire Dept. or the Milan Police Dept.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Astoria Cemetery Mausoleum with Collis Trone officiating. Inurnment will be in the Astoria Cemetery Mausoleum.
