Rose Dean

Rose M. Dean, 96, of rural Rushville died at 12:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 26, 1903, in Rushville, a daughter of William G. and Sophia Thudium Boehm. She married David B. Dean on April 3, 1926, in Rushville. He died April 17, 1983.

Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, John of Sullivan; two daughters, Rosemary Farmer of Mabank, Texas, and Shirley Kost of Sheldons Grove; one brother, Don Boehm of Rushville; one sister, Clarine Gillenwater of Tempe, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren.

She and her husband operated a dairy farm and delivered milk in the Rushville area for more than 40 years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Rushville.

Services were Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Briney officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery.
