Bessie F. Danner, 93, of Astoria died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 1998, at Astoria Healthcare Center.
She was born Oct. 29, 1904, in Fulton County, a daughter of Jonas and Caroline Falkenstein Danner.
Surviving is one niece, Doris Kolp of Astoria; four grand-nieces, Donna Tucker and Mary Lou Scrogum, both of Springfield, and Rosemary Hulett and Linda Pittman, both of Astoria; and one grand-nephew, Kenneth Walters of Rushville.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
She was a cook for Astoria Community Unit District 1 and Camp Emmanuel Church Camp. She was a member of Astoria Church of the Brethren, where she served as a treasurer of the Women’s Fellowship.
Services were held Friday at her church with Gary Schultz officiating. Burial was in South Fulton Cemetery near Astoria. Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Church of the Brethren building fund or the Astoria Township Cemetery Association.
