Charles E. Dunblazier, 93, of Astoria, died at 11:12 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 1996, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
He was born Sept. 3, 1903, in Iowa, a son of David and Lucy Hale Dunblazier. He married Florence Wickert on Jan. 28, 1937 in Macomb. She died Dec. 18, 1989. He was also preceded in death by one son, Tom Dunblazier, and three brothers.
Surviving is one son, Richard Dunblazier of Port Richey, Fla.; two brothers, Marshall “Max” Dunblazier of Burlington, Iowa and Locy Dunblazier of Waco, Texas; one sister, Mildred Breeden of Dunkerton, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was a retired mechanic. He was a member of the Astoria Church of the Brethren.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Gary Schultz officiating. Burial was in Woodland Cemetery near Astoria.
