James Dodds

James Bryan Dodds, 28, of Ladd, formerly of Macomb, died at 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1996. He died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle hit-and-run accident.

He was born Jan. 28, 1968, in Carrollton, a son of James D. and Phyllis Robbins Dodds. He married Carol Shoemate on March 2, 1991, in Table Grove. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Matthew Dodds at home and an unborn child; his parents of Adair; one brother, Christopher Dodds of Blandinsville; and his grandmothers, Bertha Robbins of Astoria and Eleanor Dodds of Frederick; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A 1987 graduate of Macomb High School, he worked for Harper-Wyman Co. in Princeton. He was a member of ABATE of Illinois, Twin Rivers Chapter.

Funeral services were held Monday at Sargent-Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Swarthout officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
