Elaine Davis, 70, of Astoria, died at 9:02 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at Pekin Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1925, in South Pekin, a daughter of David Wesley and Ruth Lucille Ellison Kettering. She married Lester E. Davis on March 9, 1981, in Galesburg. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Ruthis J. Bolam of Pekin; two stepdaughters, Susie Melson and Cindy Woods, both of Porterville, Calif.; two stepsons, Larry W. Davis and Michael P. Davis, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, Joseph Kettering of Parma Heights, Ohio; one grandson; eight step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
One sister and one brother preceded her in death.
She worked for Centel-Illinois Telephone Co. for 42 years, retiring as an operator in 1987. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Rushville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin with Rev. Wayne Chockley officiating. Burial was in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
