Helen Marie Dix, 85, of Macomb, died at 9:58 a.m. Sunday, July 30, 1995, at Grandview Manor Nursing Home at Camp Point.
She was born Oct. 14, 1909 in Macomb, the daughter of Almond Monroe and Mary Malinda Clark Gloyd. She married John A. Dix in 1928 in Macomb. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1983. Also preceding her were two grandchildren and 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Lee Chapman of Brentwood, Tenn.; three sons, John Richard Dix of Terrell, Texas, William Dix of Colchester and Jacque Dix of Summitt, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Macomb and the Eagles Club of Macomb. She was the resident secretary at Grandview Manor Nursing Home and worked as an LPN for McDonough District Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Astoria Cemetery with Dr. Jack Volkers officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
Memorials may be made to the recreation fund at Grandview Manor Nursing Home at Camp Point.
