LOU NELLIE (WATSON) HAYNES DANNER

Lou Danner

Lou N. Danner, 68, of Ipava, died at 2:09 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 1995, in the emergency room at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Jan. 11, 1927, in Havana, a daughter of Harvey and Nellie Lou Garber Watson. She married Duane Danner on Dec. 12, 1948, in Havana. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Dennis Duane of Havana and Dave of Bernadotte; one brother, Harvey Watson Jr. of Lake Charles, La.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

She worked at Mickelberry’s Meat Plant in Bushnell. She then worked at Atwood’s manufacturing plant in Havana. She last worked at Dana’s manufacturing plant, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Ipava Christian Church and Ipava American Legion Post 17 Auxiliary.

Funeral services were held Monday at Ipava Christian Church with Rev. Kevin Kessler and Dennis Knotts officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Ipava American Legion Post 17 Auxiliary.

Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
