Mildred I. Derry, 67, of Macomb, died at 9:50 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 1990, at McDonough District Hospital.
She was born Dec. 21, 1922, near Table Grove, the daughter of Elmer and Maude (Wright) Barker. She married Marvin “Pete” Derry on Sept. 8, 1939, in Palmyra, Mo. He died Jan. 20, 1982.
She also was preceded in death by one son, Doyle.
Survivors include one son, Larry of Macomb; one daughter, Mrs. Gene (Karen) Filbert of Bushnell; seven grandchildren, including two whom she raised, Cindi Miller and Steve Derry; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mae Chenoweth of Macomb and Wilma Chenoweth of Table Grove.
She and her husband had farmed southwest of Bushnell since 1941. She lived in Macomb the last 2½ years and was a member of Good Hope United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home of Bushnell with Rev. Mary Kathryn Pearce officiating. Burial was at Bushnell Cemetery.
