Mrs. Mabel Dennis Dies In Hospital

Mrs. Mabel E. “Yaya” Dennis, 66, of Ipava, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1980, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Jan. 23, 1914, at Middletown, the daughter of Clarence and Flossie Ann White Pollock. She married Perry Dennis April 17, 1959, at Havana. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Loren (Rosemary) Zessin, and Mrs. Buford (Lucille) Ray, both of Mason City; one son, Donald, of Mason City; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Evelyn Goodin, of Colorado Springs, Colo.

She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

She was a member of the Ipava Christian Church, the American Legion Auxiliary at Ipava and the VFW Auxiliary at Lewistown.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava, with Rev. Earl Moore officiating. Burial was in the Ipava Cemetery.
