VeteranGlenn H. Derry Dies At Age 89

Glenn H. Derry, 89, of 429 Bryn Mawr Blvd., Springfield, died at 5:40 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 1980, at the Danville Veterans Administration Hospital.

Mr. Derry was born in Vermont, the son of Ephraim Renner and Hannah Vatura Atherton Derry. His wife, Anna E. Burgard, died in 1975.

A resident of Springfield for many years, Mr. Derry was retired from Western Union. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the World War I Barracks 185.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Beulah Patrick of Springfield; one grandson; one granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield with Rev. Charles Lee officiating. Burial was in Camp Butler National Cemetery.

Mr. Derry was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Mary (Burgard) Baum of Astoria.
