Mrs. Elsie Doyle, 86, died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday in Graham Hospital in Canton. She had been a resident of Canton until moving to the Clarytona Manor Nursing Home two years ago.
Born in Brown County, Nov. 4, 1885, to John T. and Lalinda (Lagston) Howell, she married Arthur G. Doyle in Mount Sterling in 1903. He died in 1926.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Todd of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Mable Smyers of Canton, and Mrs. Mildred Tatum of Deatsville, Ala.; three sons, Horace Doyle and Jack Doyle, both of Liverpool, and George Doyle of Browning; 11 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Violet Baley of Monmouth, and Mrs. Anna Long of Mount Sterling.
Three children, one brother and three sisters died earlier.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Canton.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Gerard Funeral Home in Canton.
