Charles E. David Of Summum Dies

Charles E. David of Summum, died Monday night at the Frank Ogden home a mile south of Astoria. He had been in failing health for a number of years. He went to the home of his niece, Mrs. Ogden, six weeks ago.

Mr. David was born April 19, 1875 in Woodland township, a son of Welcome and Mary (Bevis) Davis. He is survived by a brother, George of Havana, and a sister, Mrs. Addie Bricker, who also lives at the Ogden home. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

He was a carpenter and a stonemason. He had built a home of stone near Summum and made many ornaments of stone. He previously had lived in Havana.

Funeral services will be held at the Shawgo Memorial Home Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. J. T. Sapp of Lewistown. Burial will be made in the Astoria cemetery.
