Marion F. David Dies

IPAVA — Marion, son of Daniel and Barbara David, was born near Ipava, 75 years ago. He was united in marriage to Miss Ida Ferris who survives. There are three children, Mrs. Cora Shuert of Ottumwa, Ia., Mrs. Ella Winner of [film scratched … illegible] and Mrs. Floyd Harwick of Ipava. One son Dannie died after reaching young manhood. There are nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Laura Douglas of Sturgis, S. D. and one brother, Reece W. David of Ipava.

Mr. Davis was an honored member of the Masons who will have charge of the services at the house Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock. Rev. J. G. Fouts of the M. E. church officiating.

Deceased followed the life of a farmer until a stroke of paralysis some ten years ago left him a cripple, moving then to Ipava where he since resided. A second stroke a week ago caused his death. His was a happy, cheerful personality, one to be sadly missed.

Funeral Services

IPAVA — Funeral services for Francis Marion David, aged almost 74 years who died at his home on Bernadotte street March 17, following a ten day illness from a stroke of paralysis, were held Wednesday from the late home, Rev. G. D. Heuver of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was made in the Ipava cemetery.

Those from out of town in attendance were: Mrs. Cora Shuert of Ottumwa, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Winner of Pekin, Merle Cameron of Cuba, Don and Doris Cameron, Canton, Mrs. Siberer, Laurence Neff and wife and Ernie Neff and wife of Bushnell, Arthur Brown and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Kirkpatrick, Macomb, Mrs. Ernest Miller, Canton.
