HORACE A. DOROTHY

Horace Dorothy

Horace A. Dorothy, a man between 60 and 70 years old, living with Marshall Frakes, seven miles east of Carthage, was found dead in his barn Friday morning. Mr. Dorothy, it was brought out at the inquest, went to the barn to harness a young horse. He was in the stall with the horse and either suffered a stroke of apoplexy and fell or slipped and fell. The horse was frightened and stepped on his head. The coroner’s jury decided that he either died from apoplexy or was killed by the horse. Either the stroke or the blow on the head could have killed him.
