Summum Lady Dies

Mrs. Matilda Danner an aged and highly respected lady died Sunday at her home in Summum, aged 79 years and 24 days.

Mrs. Matilda Trone Danner was born in York county, Penn., June 15th, 1841. While yet a child she came with her parents to Fulton county, Illinois, where she lived the remainder of her life. The deceased was united in marriage to John Danner in the year 1859. To them were born eight children, six of whom survive, namely: Jesse of Summum, Joe of Yale, Iowa, Charles of Ipava, Mrs. Minnie Spangler of Summum, Mrs. Nellie Mummert of near Astoria. Her husband died about eleven years ago.

The deceased was a member of the Christian church, having united about twelve years ago. She was a kind mother, living her whole life for her family and friends. Her sincere devotion was fully appreciated by all.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 at the Christian church conducted by Rev. L. A. Crown. Burial in the cemetery near by.
