Little Son Dies

Orville Dwight Derry, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Derry was born, August 16th, 1919, died at the home of his parents near Astoria, March 26, 1920, aged seven months and ten days. Little Orville Dwight had been a sufferer of pneumonia for seven days prior to his death. He leaves to mourn his death, father and mother and many near relatives, one sister, died in infancy.

“Around his grave we lingered,
Till the setting sun was low,
Feeling all our hopes had perished
With the flower we cherished so.
Death can never, never come!
In His own good time He’ll call us,
From our rest to home, sweet home.”

Funeral services were conducted at U. B. church Sunday forenoon at 11 o’clock, Rev. J. E. Fry having charge. Interment in Astoria cemetery.
