Solomon Danner Dead.

Solomon Danner, a highly respected and influential farmer of Woodland township died at his home northeast of Astoria Saturday after an illness covering a period of about a week. Death was due to pneumonia.

Mr. Danner was born in York county, Pa., March 6th, 1848. At the time of his death he was aged 67 years, one month and eleven days. He was the son of Henry Danner and came to Illinois in 1865 where he has since lived. On Nov. 3rd, 1867 he was united in marriage to Fanny Stauffer and to them were born three children. Namely: Lydia, Mrs. Mary Stremmel, who preceded him to the great beyond and Mrs. Katie Danner. In 1872 his wife died. In 1874 he was united in marriage to Mary Warner and to this union, four children were born: Lizzie and Emert at home, George of Woodland and William of Summum. Besides his children, he leaves to mourn his loss an aged widow, two brothers Jacob and Daniel of Woodland, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

In 1894 he united with the Church of the Brethren and since that time has lived a faithful and sincere member.

Funeral services were held at the Woodland church Sunday afternoon by A. H. Lind, assisted by S. G. Bucher. Interment in the cemetery near by.
