SHELDONS GROVE — Reason Darling was born in Ohio, and died near Sheldons Grove Aug. 13, 1902, aged 76 years, 4 months and 13 days. He came to Illinois when a young man and spent most of his life near Bluff City. He leaves eight sons, three daughters and a number of grandchildren to mourn. He united with the Methodist church, South, at Bluff City about five years ago, of which he remained a faithful member until his death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. O. Kirkpatrick, of Astoria, at Sheldons Grove, where the remains were buried. Thus another one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens has passed away.
