While crossing the public park Monday morning of this week Mrs. Clarence Wilson overtook Mrs. Mary Dix, of this city, whom she at once saw was suffering intensely, as she was staggering, almost ready to fall. Mrs. Wilson asked if she could be of assistance and at once started to help her home, but before they could leave the park heart failure set in and Mrs. Dix died in the arms of the one who had in that fleeting hour of death perchance passed by to lend a helping hand.
Her age was 60 years, 10 months and 8 days. She was the mother of John and Will Dix, of this city, and was a widow of Dix. A more suitable obituary will appear next week.
