DAVID DANNER

Found Dead.

David S. Danner, an old resident, living two miles north-east of Astoria, was found dead in his orchard last Thursday morning. He was last seen on Monday and it is thought he had been dead since Monday evening or Tuesday morning. He was in the act of burying a dead hog and seemingly, suddenly fell to the ground and died instantly from heart disease. At the time of his death his wife and family were away from home visiting, and this accounts for his being dead so long before found. He was a respectable citizen, aged sixty-seven years and had many friends in this neighborhood.

The funeral was held Friday, conducted by Rev. John Baker, after which the remains were interred in the Woodland cemetery.
