George Dressler, an old resident of this township, died at the home of a friend in Fayette county, Tuesday, August 18. Mr. Dressler was at one time quite wealthy but friends deceived him and three years ago he was compelled to go to the poor farm where he remained until friends took him to Fayette county and cared for him until death, receiving for their trouble a small compensation from the county.
