Ronald CoxRonald L. Cox, 92, of Browning died at 8:50 p.m. April 19, 2025, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Home.

He was born July 10, 1932, in Browning, the son of Homer C. and Myrtle Lane Cox. He married Glenna Meyer on Oct. 3, 1958, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Ron (and Gina) Cox of Browning; one daughter, Lori Hulvey of Camden; and four grandchildren, Dustin Cox, Kayla Henness, Kyle and Keaton Hulvey.

He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Blackburn College. He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1954-56 and was stationed in Germany. He was a farmer, a rural mail carrier and a bus driver for Schuyler County. He was a lifetime member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association, a member of the Schuyler County Farm Bureau for over 50 years, and served as a director, a member of Browning Methodist Church, and a charter member of the Browning Senior Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Charla Meyers officiating. Burial will be held at Browning Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Browning Senior Center or Schuyler Veterans Homes.
