Billie Childers

Billie T. Childers, 87, of Adair died Feb. 2, 2021, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa.

He was born Sept. 3, 1933, in Lewistown, a son of Jesse and Mildred Henderson Childers. He married Nadine Wheeler on March 10, 1962, in Canton. She preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2001.

He also was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Billie J. (and Randy) Ketcham of Macomb; and one grandson, Christopher Christian of Colchester.

He was a farmer and later worked at NTN Bower Corporation in Macomb retiring in 2000. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

A graveside service was held Monday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown where a military service was conducted by the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
