She was born April 3, 1931, in Beardstown, the daughter of Lewis and Marie Shouse Jones.
Surviving are one daughter, Vickie (and Dale) Ring of Rushville; two sons, Guilford “Tad” Collison of Chapin and Robert (and Kathy) Collison of Fowler: six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Gene, Alfred, Edward and Hank.
She attended Beardstown High School and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Quincy. She was a stay-at-home mother and worked at various restaurants until her children grew older, later, attended Beautician school and was a hairdresser in Beardstown for many years and then worked for the State of Illinois, retiring with more than 20 years of service in 2001.
Funeral services were held Saturday at Colwell Memorial Home in Beardstown. Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery.
