She was born May 21, 1942, in Mount Sterling, a daughter of Elzie and Darlene Roberts Carpenter.
Surviving are one sister, Joyce (and Dave) Utter; and one brother, Bill (and Donna) Carpenter of Dover, Mo.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers.
She liked to sew quilts and crafts.
Inurnment will be in the Mount Sterling Cemetery at a later date. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
