She was born Aug. 3, 1941, in rural Lewistown, a daughter of John H. and Geneda Welker Meyer. She married Donald Chapman in 1963 in Canton. He died Sept. 9, 1995.
She also was preceded in death by three sisters and one grandson.
Surviving are six children, Marilyn (and Bud) Barton of Huntsville, Ala., Gary (and Monnie) Chapman and Jeannie Walters, both of Canton, Debbie (and Eddie) Proctor of Peoria, Mike (and Angie) Chapman of Dunfermline and Darren (and Tina) Chapman of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Harriet (and Dick) Baldwin of Smithfield and Bonnie (and Roy) Jones of Macomb; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was a retired seamstress. She had worked at the Overall Factory in Canton. She formerly attended Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton.
Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Monroe Bailey officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the memorial home.
