Robert ClugstenRobert Ray Clugsten, 87, of Rushville died at 9:55 a.m. Nov. 14, 2016, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rushville.

He was born June 3, 1929, in Littleton, the son of Robert Ray and Iris McMillen Clugsten. He married Margie Travis on April 26, 1952, in Rushville. She survives.

Also surviving are one niece and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Lockwood; and one niece.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he received the Korean Service Medal with one Bronze Battle Star, a Combat Infantry Badge and a United Nations Service Medal.

He was in the furniture business as an owner, operator and salesman from 1953 until retiring in 1997.

He was a member of Schuyler American Legion Post #4 and Industry Kiwanis Club. He was active with the Industry Pinhook Celebration for years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney and Rev. Larry DeSha officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery with Military Honors by a U.S. Army Honors Detail and Schuyler American Legion Post #4. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
