He was born Jan. 30, 1995, in Carbondale, the son of Kevin E. and Debra Swayne Cook.
Surviving are his parents of Browning; one sister, Jennifer (and Nathan) Najmabadi of Dallas, Texas; four aunts, Patricia (and Clint) Galloway of West Frankfort, Rev. Pamela King of Murphysboro and Deanna (and Michael) Boyd and Debra Waller, both of Du Quoin; and two uncles, Michael Joe King of Du Quoin and Richard Swayne of Janesville, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Audrey Cook and George and Naomi Ruth Swayne.
He graduated from Schuyler-Industry High School in 2013. He had been an active member of Boy Scout Troop #35 in Rushville. He was previously a student at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
Memorial services were held Sunday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Mr. David Haney officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
