WILLIAM L. CALHOUN

William Calhoun

William L. Calhoun, 67, of rural Astoria died at 3:36 p.m. Nov. 18, 2014, at his home.

He was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Peoria, a son of Thomas and Marie Closen Calhoun. He married Veronica S. Lund on Sept. 15, 1972, in Pekin. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Tom (and Mandy) Calhoun of rural Astoria and Christopher (and Jane) Calhoun-Troelstrup of Bloomington; one sister, Doris Deroule of Pekin; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He was a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. East Peoria plant and retired with 30 years of service.

He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force.

He was of the Catholic Faith. He was a member of UAW.

Cremation will be accorded and there will be no services. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
