Robert CraneRobert Lee "Mouse" Crane, 79, of Rushville died at 8:18 p.m. June 26, 2013, at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.

He was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Rushville, the son of Frank S. and Lyda Lee Crane. He married Elaine Fredericks on Aug. 28, 1955, in Sloatsburg, N.Y. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Rick (and Rhonda) Crane of Olney and Jim (and Konnie) Crane of Rushville; one daughter, Joni (and Dave) Thomas of Rushville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War.

He was a member of Rushville First Christian Church "Disciples of Christ" and Rushville Lodge #9 A.F. and A.M. He was a charter member of Schuyler County Shrine Club, a former member of Schuy-Rush Park Board and served on Rushville Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was active as a manager and coach of Rushville Little League for many years. He owned and operated Crane's Shell Service for over 40 years.

Services were held Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. John Sowers officiating. Burial was in Rushville City Cemetery with Military Honors by a U.S. Navy Honors Detail and Schuyler American Legion Post #4.
